A late 18th century Hepplewhite period carved mahogany armchair, having a shield back with three pierced slats, the central one inlaid with a rosette and having out swept arms on down swept supports joined to the seat upholstered in pale blue and cream striped silk fabric; on turned tapering legs headed by inlaid blocks terminating in toupee feet to the front and splay feet to the reverse side.
