A rare and charming mid 18th century carved mahogany oval wine cooler on stand. The cross veneered rim with outscrolled acanthus carved carrying handles with beautiful flame mahogany to the base fitted on to a stand with moulded and shaped apron on four acanthus carved cabriole legs terminating in claw and ball feet with concealed leather castors.
Note: This wine cooler is almost identical to the one from the well recorded Samuel Messer Collection and most likely from the same workshop
