A PAIR OF GEORGE III GILTWOOD TORCHÉRES

A pair of late 18th century Adam period carved giltwood torchéres. The circular twin rimmed tops with circular cone shaped acanthus leaf carved boss underneath on triple downswept supports with acanthus leaf carving to the tops and floral paterae to the sides, each hung with facetted elongated lozenges on chains, joined by a concave triform middle support with central finial terminating with concave guilloche carved stretcher; on gilt lead ball feet.
