A pair of George III giltwood oval mirrors by john linnell. An unpublished drawing by John Linnell, now in the collection of the Victoria & Albert museum and dated September 1773 for a Mr. Edmd. Waller esq., clearly shows the design for these mirrors with a slight variation of the urn finial. Slight derivations from the drawing were often the case and seen in other documented commissions by Linnell that are still in their original home. Both mirrors retain the original mirror plates and most of the original gilding.
