An unusual early 18th century Palladian period giltwood mirror, having a re-silvered upright rectangular bevelled mirror plate within a sanded frame with rope twist moulded edge and egg and dart surround and corner returns applied with floral paterae, surmounted by an architectural pediment finely carved with acanthus moulding and scrolled truss supports at each side, centred by a carved cartouche with shell cresting and flanked by sprays of wheat ears and fruit.
